Education Partnership Announced

July 11, 2006, East Liverpool, Ohio – The National Network of Digital Schools (NNDS) announced today an educational venture with NewLife Academy of Information Technology (NewLife) and Soaring Eagle, Inc. (SEI).

This venture is a vocational program focused on high school seniors that provides an opportunity to learn the skills necessary to recondition computers and also provide part-time employment to successful graduates of the program.

NNDS will provide the computers which are returned by cyber school students. Seniors from local high schools interested in this program may attend a sixty (60) hour program provided by NewLife which will teach them the skills required to re-condition the NNDS computers. Each student will conclude the program by reconditioning two (2) computers provided by NNDS that their local high school will receive. After successful completion of the NewLife program, qualified students can work part-time for SEI to actually refurbish other NNDS computers.

Dr. Nick Trombetta indicated “I am excited about the opportunity to establish a relationship with NewLife Academy and Soaring Eagle. Education is the key to providing our youth with the skills necessary to compete in today’s markets. NNDS and NewLife both share the objective of preparing our youth to be successful in life. We at NNDS look forward to working further with NewLife and Soaring Eagle.”

Craig Newbold, Founder of NewLife Academy and Soaring Eagle commented “We believe establishment of relationships with local schools is a unique opportunity to provide our youth with contemporary technology skills needed in today’s world. NNDS is an innovative educational concept as is NewLife, together we hope to not only prepare our youth but also provide opportunities for local employment. Dr. Trombetta and I share a vision of providing local employment that will enable our youth to remain in the tri-state area as well as help revitalize local communities.”
